THE WEDNESDAY EVENING POST FOR MARCH 27, 2013

Hey All!

Does anyone have Mother Nature's phone number?  Can someone call her and remind her to flip her damn calendar page please????  I swear if I see another flake of snow I'm going to flip completely out of my mind!!!!  This has got to STOP.  We got another almost 7 inches here and I am done, do you hear me. . . .DONE!

OK, I feel somewhat better now and I'm ready to post some of my Easter cards.  But how does one hunt for Easter eggs in the snow???  Anybody???  I digress. . .on to my first card:
I love this die so much.  They look like those cheap hollow chocolate bunnies you get at Walmart don't they?  Ha!  I added a liquid pearl eye and tied a bow around their little necks with various colors of embroidery floss.  The die is from Impression Obsession.

Using the same die, I created this side step card.  I used a Hero Arts egg die for the eggs using various scrap pieces.  I also used some MS glitter for some Easter sparkle.  Used a punch for the grass look.  I'm entering this one into the Anything Goes Challenge over at Simon Says.

How sweet is this image???  It is colored with my colored pencils and oms.  Every time I look at this it's like the mouse is thinking. . ."How the hell did you come out of this?"  LOL
I'm really liking lime green right now!  I'm entering this into the HM Monday Challenge #HMFMC141.  You can find the details of the challenge HERE.

Final card. . .
I'm just nuts over this little chick stamp.  It reminds me of a chick version of Snoopy's Woodstock.  It is a single little wood stamp by Denami Designs.  I obviously stamped it a bunch of times and colored each with colored pencils.  In the Spring (whatever that is) I always see these Mamma ducks with a hoard of babies following them and that is what this card reminds me of only with chicks.

Pic of the Week
Robin: "Where the hell is Spring?"
Well, that's it for this edition.  Hope you enjoyed your visit (minus my whining).  I wish each and every one of you a wonderful Easter weekend.  I'm trying to stay away from the Starburst jelly beans I bought to fill some plastic eggs for a few baskets I've made for my Mom/Sis and best friends.  But they are so tasty!!!!

Hope you are all well!  Thanks for taking the time to come see my stuff!  I'll be visiting you soon!

Hugs,

Curt

What a great bunch of cards. Those bunnies look like little soldiers with their backs so ramrod straight.
Love the little chicks.
Poor HM is going to lose his tail to that little bird. lol
Nice bandanas on the boys.
Love the pic of the week.

Looks like you had a busy time...just love all your Easter cards Curt, but I guess having no outdoor activities, it was best to do some crafting. I really do hope with the new month up in a few days, your spring will suddenly arrive and STAY! Have a wonderful Easter with no frozen eggs. Hugs, Ursula

I feel your pain. The low tonight is going to be 50. Good grief! I might need to wear long pants tomorrow morning!

Hi Curt, Your bunny cards are just so cute and those little chicks too! Think I have that weeny stamp somewhere!! Love the HM one and you have used perfect paper for those die cut Easter eggs!

I have read many times about the very late snow you have having over there - not sure what is happening with the world climate. We have even had tornadoes this summer season in different parts. Scary!! Guess the boys still enjoy being outdoors in the snow!
Hope you and Jay are well, hugs!

Your commentary is very funny. Love your sense of humour. Your cards are great. I like your bunny die--they do look like the cheap bunnies from Walmart.

Didn't you get the email? ... Mother Nature is on vacation in Bora Bora and sends her best!! And you're not alone,; we had snow AGAIN last night.

Those chocolate bunnies SO look like the Walmart bunnies!

And the HM image ... the mouse had better concentrate on his tail because that chick is about to chomp it off. Great colouring job!

Love those little yellow chicks ... lots of chick poop to clean up after them!

Happy Easter Curt.

Hi Curt! I love that chocolate bunny card and can TOTALLY see using a scalloped circle punch to "take a bite" out of one of those little guys' ears. :( LOL!

And that mouse and chick picture is too cute. I saw something different. I saw the chick saying, "That looks like an interesting worm. I wonder how it tastes." ;)

I wish you all there a happy Easter and may God melt that snow a bit for you so you can see the sidewalk.

And I hear you about those Starburst jelly beans. I'm a sucker for any jelly bean but those things are deadly.

God bless!

If I had Mother Nature's phone number, I would be blowing up her phone right now! I have had enough of this cold weather and we don't even have snow. Although we did have a few flurries a couple of days ago. Your cards give me hope that Spring will arrive eventually, they are adorable. The chocolate bunnies are so cute, and I love that itty bitty chickie, too! Stay warm, and hang in there with the rest of us - I hope the snow melts soon.

If anyone has good suggestions for you about how to have an egg hunt in the snow, please let me know! The grandkids probably won't care all that much, but the Easter Bunny really doesn't want to hide them in this muck! Things are gradually getting better for me and I am hoping to be back creating very soon. I just love all of your creations and (of course) had to go and buy that darling little Denami chick after seeing your card. Hang in there - we can't give up on the hope that there really will be a spring coming eventually! All the best to Jay and big hugz to those darling boys (love the Easter bandanas!). ~chris

Curt, do you have a recipe for groundhog stew?! We need to get rid of the little s.o.b.! Where is the spring he said was coming? We are suppose to get more snow on April Fool's day too, ugh!

Your cards are always so cute and well laid out too! Very creative, you are!

Thank you also for hubby's card, we both enjoyed it, have it up now on my shelve in my craft room, have a wonderful Easter too!

Too funny! Love your cards but the posting is too funny as well as some of the comments. I am coming to Muncie, Indiana in a couple weeks for a wedding. How close it that to you? They are predicting snow again for us in Iowa next Monday. Love the boys' new bandanas.

You see, I am late commenting here. Took a few days of vacation to the beach...much needed and now I'm revisiting some of my favorite blogs. The bird photo is awesome, but we have been lucky enough to have Spring come in early...almost too early and my daffodils took a beating. Love all your cards, but the baby chicks (alias baby Woodstock) is my favorite. Made me smile!
